About the Host Organization
Indianapolis has become an urban research and academic health sciences leader in the United States thanks to the dual partnership between Indiana University and Purdue University. Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) is home to 17 degree granting schools and over 350+ academic programs. Seven of the 17 degree granting schools are in the health and life sciences field.
Indiana University is proud that the School of Medicine and Interprofessional Practice and Education Center have come together to locally host CAB VII in 2019. The School of Medicine is at the center of a large Academic Health Center that includes several health science schools, Eskenazi Health (the largest county hospital in Indiana), IU Health, University Hospital, and the Roudebush VA Hospital. Altogether, these entities have a long history of implementing team based care. At the center of these great institutions is the Interprofessional Practice and Education Center that brings together faculty, students and communities to implement, integrate and evaluate interprofessional education programs and innovative team practice models.
We believe that collaboration is what sparks creativity and innovation in healthcare. Indiana University looks forward to providing a rewarding and innovative Collaborating Across Borders VII conference.
